Maya is a business tycoon in a fashion industry and is an insomniac sociopath due to her complex and unstable family.Maya's cruel and sick father, Ashwin is responsible for her present health condition. Arjun is a photographer who works in Maya's company named "Fashion & The City". His best friend, Saanjh is a practicing lawyer(episode 10).

Saanjh secretly loves Arjun; her love driven by selflessness and purity. Their familes get along well too. Saanjh handles a case regarding Maya's company. Arjun successfully launches the company's "Junoon (Passion)" campaign photoshoot with his chosen model Maya and the cover story "Beyhadh". Maya gradually falls in love with Arjun; her love driven by obsession and love for him is unconditional.
